Is the accounting standards setting in the United States public/private approach? Are the standards set by private sectors and enforced through governmental agencies?

I have been working as a temp employee for two months and hope to soon be hired on full time at my agency, however, when it comes to salary negotiations, I am stumped. Does anyone know/have an idea what an Accounting Assistant (with a degree) that works for an insurance agency makes as salary? Thanks for the input!
me to go shopping, since then i have been blocked mentally since then. then when ever i refuse to shop he says to me that i am making trouble. I do not know what to do. I am doing the household budgeting and i asked him what about me. i do not understand , i am confused. first he encourages me then he brings up the topic about money. how we need to watch it. i understand but do i need to have something too?
I’ve been told that Sage Peachtree is the easiest to use but have read that it is nearly impossible to run on a Windows 7 computer. My level of expertise in accounting is beginner. Thanks in advance to all who answer with a legitimate response.
