I just started college and i’m studying accounting, economics, mathematics and business studies. Is these the right subjects or should i study sociology instead of business studies. I need to know what subjects top universities ask for when a person wants to study finance accounting.

I’m an economics major, and I’m considering to take accounting classes in community college over the summer to make myself more marketable to employers. There are two intro classes offered for accounting: managerial accounting and financial accounting.
What’s the difference between the two? Are they really similar, or should I take them both? Which one do you think would be better if I just want to have some basic accounting skills on hand? Do you have any other advice about studying accounting? Thanks!

I’m thinking about pursuing an entry level accounting job. I already have a bachelor’s economics, but I’m wondering what classes I would need to qualify for entry level accounting. I’ve never taken an accounting class in my life. What kind of salary could I expect for entry level accounting?
